Welcome to CRPRChalmers Rock Processing Research (CRPR) is a research group at Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, which focus on scientific and industrial research around machines and systems for production of rock materials. Crushing of rock materialsProduction of rock materials and comminution of ores and minerals are of central importance for the development of our society. Crushing plants and comminution circuits are found within the aggregate, mining and mineral producing industries. Effective comminution methods are absolute conditions for further well-being of mankind.
Since 1993 research focused on equipment and systems for production of crushed rock material products have been carried on at Chalmers. The research projects comprise:
• Modeling of crushers and screens
• Modeling and optimization of crushing plants
• Wear of manganese crushing chambers
• Quality of aggregates |

The research group Chalmers Rock Processing Research (CRPR) has had five active researchers during 2007. Achieved results have been implemented in a new generation of high performance cone crushers at Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC). The H7800 cone crusher has obtained improved production capacity and efficiency by utilizing new design criteria and can therefore handle the toughest ores and minerals. A novel simulation software package has also been developed for SMC which will have around 400 users around the world during next year. |
